Frequently Asked Questions

If you are unsure where to begin, you are always welcome to get in touch.

Do I need to know which treatment or service I want before I book?

No. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly which option is right for you. If you are unsure where to begin, get in touch and tell me what you are looking for. We can talk through what is going on for you, what you would like from your time here and which experience may suit you best. There is no conveyor belt here—your time is designed around you.

Are treatments by appointment only?

Yes. All treatments, coaching sessions and Retreat appointments are by appointment only. This allows me to prepare properly for you and make sure your time is private, personal and unhurried.

Where is The Frequency Retreat?

The Frequency Retreat is located on the outskirts of Cambridge. Full arrival details can be provided with your booking. Parking is available, and access to the Retreat is via the wooden gate.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear something comfortable and easy to relax in. For treatments, please remove jewellery beforehand where possible and keep makeup minimal. I also recommend bringing extra drinking water for your journey home.

What happens before a bespoke aromatherapy massage?

Your treatment begins before you arrive. I will send you a consultation and medical-check form in advance so I can check for any contraindications and decide whether the treatment needs to be adapted. Some contraindications do not necessarily prevent treatment; for example, it may be appropriate to avoid or adapt work around a particular area. If anything means massage is not appropriate, I will let you know. The form also asks which areas you would and would not like included, so you can make your preferences clear before you arrive.

What does the aromatherapy massage include?

The massage is bespoke rather than a fixed routine. Depending on your consultation and preferences, it can include the body, face and scalp, with areas included or avoided according to what you have requested and what is appropriate for you. Your essential-oil blend is prepared especially for you, and the ambiance, music and treatment are tailored around you. Gentle frequency-based wellbeing devices may also be incorporated where appropriate and wanted.

How long should I allow for an aromatherapy massage?

Please allow around 90 minutes for the whole experience. The hands-on massage is usually around 60–75 minutes, with time around it for settling in, consultation where needed and unhurried aftercare.

What happens after my treatment?

You will not be rushed out of the door. There is time to sit, ground yourself and enjoy the surroundings before leaving. Herbal tea or water may be offered, and I recommend having extra water with you for the journey home.

Is mind coaching the same as counselling or therapy?

No. Mind coaching is not counselling, psychotherapy or medical treatment, and it does not replace them. It is a practical, forward-focused process designed to help you understand patterns, perspectives and the way you respond to situations, then develop tools you can continue to use for yourself.

Can I book just one coaching session?

Yes. A single 90-minute one-to-one Mind Coaching session may be all you want or need. There is no obligation to commit to a programme.

Can I upgrade to the three-session coaching package after my first session?

Yes. If you begin with a single session and then decide you would like to continue, you can upgrade to the three-session package after your first session. Please ask me at the time so I can arrange the package with you.

Can coaching be done remotely?

Yes. Mind coaching can be carried out online, so you do not need to be local to Cambridgeshire. Remote sessions are suitable for English-speaking clients wherever practical time zones allow.

What are frequency-based wellbeing services?

These are non-medical wellbeing experiences that may use frequency-based devices, scans, tones or other technologies as part of a personalised session. They are offered for general wellbeing, relaxation, personal awareness and educational purposes. They are not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions and do not replace medical care.

Do I need to remove jewellery or makeup for frequency or wellbeing appointments?

For appointments where equipment is used on or around the body, I may ask you to remove jewellery if it could interfere with comfort or the equipment being used. Minimal makeup is also preferable for treatments involving the face. I will tell you if there is anything specific you need to do for your appointment.

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?

A 50% deposit is payable in advance to secure an appointment. If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice and no-shows will normally result in the deposit being retained, subject to your statutory consumer rights and any circumstances in which the law requires otherwise. Please contact me as soon as possible if something unexpected happens.

What happens if I am late?

Please arrive at the agreed time. If you are late, your appointment may need to be shortened so that later commitments are not affected. The full booked fee may still apply.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available. Please contact me to arrange one. Any validity period or specific conditions will be shown on the voucher at the time of purchase.
